Hey everybody! For the last three months, I was mostly bedridden (and still doing schoolwork from home), so please understand that it didn't leave much energy for being social (or even viewing any entertainment - I still haven't seen any of Season 9 since RTX).
But, anyway, I'm back! Not only back, but close to my old self. No more cane, no more vicodin, and I can even run short distances again. It's been a long, hard road for the last 3/4 of a year, but my doc finally found a treatment that worked. After she saw my RA was progressing faster than an oncoming freight train, she decided to skip chemotherapy and go straight for the self-injectable, may-cause-cancer-in-people-around-21-years-of-age-treatment.
She'd held back on the treatment due to my age (going on 23 come late March), but since it was sort of a last resort, we went with it. So far, I'm cancer-free, and feeling awesome. The pain is a fraction of what it was, and should improve dramatically in the next few months. So I guess what I'm getting at is that Jamie and I will be attending the next RTX!
This will be the last post regarding my RA, thank god. I'll be posting the progress on a project we've been working on for the last week as soon as it's photo-ready, so stay tuned!
