It’s official: Facebook has evolved beyond “Like.” Since it’s way too complicated to actually type out our fucking thoughts, users can now, with a single tap or click, react to a post in a much more nuanced way than “Like” ever allowed. That’s right – you can now choose Love, Haha, Wow, Sad, or Angry. Jesus Christ.
To see reactions on the Facebook app, hold down on a post’s Like button. To see reactions on the desktop site, hover over a post’s Like button with your mouse.
I can’t help but think that Facebook missed the mark on which messages their audience needs to quickly convey. Always one to help, I tried my hand at coming up with a set of more realistic Facebook reactions that I would use all day, urry day.
1. That’s racist, Aunt Rhonda
2. Your life cannot be that perfect
3. I’m stalking you
4. Thanks for tagging me in another bullshit meme, Mom
6. Your grammar has literally killed me dead
Which reactions would you like to see?
