Images fade and songs are forgotten, but words are remembered and words live. Words can give meaning to what we don't understand, if we dare to know. Words can hurt but they can also inspire those that have been hurt. Words can be old and well known, or made up completely new. Words can be fashionable, familiar, foreign, silly, stupid, or complex. Words have the power to do things that one man alone could never achieve.
And everything words can be, all that power that words have, comes from us. Because words are not given to us by anyone, we make the word. We are the ones that are inspiring, silly, and powerful. We make the word, and we are being remembered, and we live. You live.
Words are whatever you make them, because you make the word. So go out and make it a good one.

Letters
WordsDear Words Group Users,
We didn't forget about you.
Today's Journal is about letters. This is a horrible example of the format for letters. Feel free to criticize.
Please kindly fill in the blank with some imaginative creative journal that is so fantastically amazing it drops your jaw and leaves you awestruck.
Sincerely,

Technical Terms
WordsThis News Entry was brought to you by, The Words Group. Enjoy.
Technical Terms. They are cut dry and to the point. It's hard to pick up a book on say welding and just read it all the way through. Gets. Boring.
Now I present you the question. Why are these words and terms boring to people?
And if you feel like it list some technical terms. -

WordsTo stem off of the Acronym news entry, conversations that take place face to face are beginning to resemble that of a conversation one would find on a messaging program. Through there are no misspellings, the same grammatical issues that often frequent text are beginning to pop up. Of course, verbal conversations have some leniency when it comes to these issues, but when someone has face affect and states "lol," it seems like something is wrong. Does anyone else know of people who talk like this?

Local Dialects
WordsEnglish is such a funny language. It is a distinct tongue, yet has so many terms borrowed or bastardised from other languages. One of the most entertaining facets of English is how such 'borrowing' can lead to localised dialects. Not just accents but entire vocabularies can develop in different parts of the world (or even within one country if the population base is big enough) even though they all ostensibly speak the same language.
So how about it? What are some of your local terms or phrases that have crept into everyday usage?
Think of those words that everyone around you uses and understands but that might totally baffle an english-speaking visitor from another region or country. -
Long Words
WordsPneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis refers to a disease cause by silcon dust. It's interesting to see how long words can get. Go ahead and name a few long ones...
*EDIT* They must be real words, please and thank you kindly. Management.
