We had you guys fill out a survey at the beginning of the year about the group, how it's been doing, and what you would like to see happen with a lot of great feedback. Here is a summary of the results below!
While we would like the RT Florida South branch to be able to host more than one a month, it is unfortunately not going to be feasible at this time since we only have one admin down there. But we have talked to David who coordinates a lot of the events down there for RT Florida and starting this summer, we should be having monthly events for you all!
Multiple people have shown interest in hosting meet ups and we were excited to see the responses. However stepping up on your own or when asked is a different story. Over the next few months we will be reaching out to people about hosting meet ups.
Recordings and LPs
We’re excited to do these again and got a lot of good responses so we hope to start soon! We will contact individuals who expressed interest in recording videos, building games, and planning playthroughs, as well as work to alternate participants so everyone gets a chance. There was also a large suggestion for Let’s Watch style videos, so we are also looking into these.
We understand that a lot of you are happy with how our game nights are run, but would like them to have more notice and be more frequent. We will do our best to provide on these two things.
Based on the results, you all are pretty happy with the current dynamic of PC game nights but would like more diversity in the games every now and then. We will work on changing this up to keep PC game nights more entertaining to the group.
When it comes to streaming these game nights, most of you are okay with streaming them. Currently we don’t stream all the events, and we will be keeping it this way based on the results. We are also going to make sure to consistently ask those playing if they are alright with being streamed before actually doing so. We will also try to mention ahead of time if game nights are going to be a streamed event or not.
We were glad to see who was able to do what and who had what skills. If we need help with specific projects, we now know who can help and will definitely be reaching out for current and future projects soon! We of course appreciate any help and if anyone already has a project, series, etc., we are more than glad to help or even promote it.
Majority of people use the Twitter, Facebook, the Rooster Teeth website, and YouTube the most. Luckily this is where we host most of our content! There was some interest in Instagram and Snapchat social accounts for the group and we are looking into this.
When it came to how our events are hosted, most were okay with how they are on Facebook, but there was some discontent with this as well. Because of that, we are going to start creating events on the RT site and linking them along with the Facebook ones as well.
It was listed in the survey, and we plan on addressing this in the future about the group shirts. Many people wanted a new group shirt that is designed from the community or through a contest. We are working on this and will post about it when the details are worked out.
Weekly Updates received fairly positive reviews with some suggestions that vary from adding images, videos, community spot light segments, and QA sessions. We will begin working those in immediately as well as creating a newsletter for those who want it.
We asked about longer 6-8 hour streams on Saturday and have gauged your interest. We are passing this along to our head streamer and will let you know what the decision is on this. Hint: Most of the feedback was positive!
A lot of you like the podcast, which is great, and even provided some good topics you would like to hear. We plan on having more guests from the community and others. Plus we are even looking into creating a second podcast from the group, so keep an ear out for that soon.
If you have any questions or comments, please let us know and we will do our best to address them!
