Griff - Smartass, the scapegoat. Youre lazy, youd rather watch TV. But do they care? No. Might as well do what you want.

A note about surround sound. I am crazy happy right now. For my birthday (which has passed, I just didn't think to share until now) my wife bought me the Pioneer Dolby 5.1 XBOX360 surround system. It is the coolest low budget system I have ever seen. She got it for $125 before tax (At Tuesday Morning's). I think that since it is licensed for the Xbox, and designed around it, people think that it is strictly for the xbox, but it will work with anything. I suspect this, because Tuesday Morning is one of those stores that picks up overstocked merchandise from other retailers and sells it at a discounted price. The original price point is only $150 anyway, and I can't understand how anyone would be overstocked with these things, unless people thought that they couldn't use it. The sound reproduction is fantastic. It includes an optical cable, and has multiple inputs. The unit is very compact, in fact, the head unit is almost as small as the detachable face on a car stereo. The sweetest feature is the MCACC (MultiChannel Audio Calibration somethinorother). It's awesome. It comes with a microphone that you plug into the back, and then place at your normal listening position. It runs a signal test from all six speakers, and calibrates the level for each automatically. Straight up dummy-proof surround sound. I love it. Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention- the remote control works for the Xbox right out of the box; no need to keep two of them out when watching DVDs.
Seriously, this product is extremely underrated.
