So here is how my first week has been going....

Sunday: I went for a run. I gotta say that I love 'Zombies, Run!' app. I was first introduced to it on the Roosterteeth podcast and I have loved it ever since. I love it even more now that it has interval training with jogging, sprinting and walking allowing me to continue working on getting my speed up on my runs. Also getting back into running has allowed me to use my run journal again. I bought it on Amazon from 'Gone for a Run.com' and it's got basically everything: a place to write down things about my runs, races, and even to compare the number of miles I run each month. It is a great way to see my progress in my speed on each run. I ran 2.28 miles at a pace of 11.23.

Monday: Worked out with my Sworkit app which is my strength training and yoga work out helper. It's also got a place where I can program in some exercises so I programmed in my warm up for my runs so I just do it and then go for my run. (Also on a side note Sworkit has mrewards which is a point system which you can save up for gift cards, helps build the determination). I also went for a couple walks, one before work and one at my lunch break. My eating has been going well but I gotta lay off the ice cream.

Tuesday: Another run day, this time around the track. I have to run after work and it's too dark to run outside. I ran 4.3 miles at a pace of 9:46 (I run faster on the track because it's easier to run a flat surface).

Wednesday: I didn't work out, mostly because I didn't sleep well. I really need to remember to get to sleep on time because if I don't I'm exhausted. And I had to sit through meetings all day because there were no kids (I'm a teacher). I had far too much to eat at the potluck lunch and I took a nap when I got home. Not such a good day.

Thursday: A run day! Another track run! I ran 4.5 miles at 10 mph. I'm enjoying running every other day which feels like the right amount of runs plus rest.

Friday: Didn't strength train (again today), but I did go on a walk. I had ice cream and cookies with diet soda but I plan to chill out on the junk food from now on.

Tomorrow is a long run day (35 minutes) and then Sunday I plan to strength train. I'm getting more worried the closer it gets to Thanksgiving and the holidays what with all the food and the treats. I don't want to loose focus!

So I'm actually posting something here...On the RT website...I think the world is ending! Cats and dogs living together the whole nine yards! Well usually I don't post things because I'm really shy. But I saw Buff Buddies and I figured it was something I could get behind: A. Because I believe it is good to take better care of oneself and B. Because I want to loose some around my midsection (if you know what I mean). I, myself, am a runner and am working towards beating my time at the 5k (I admire Josh and Meg for going for the half marathon which I also want to work towards one day).

My one weakness in all of this: Sweets. I do like sweets. I don't drink, I don't smoke, but give me a cake and I can't help myself. I don't want to deny myself sweets as that would drive me insane and probably want to make me eat more, but I think I have to tone it down (and right in time for holiday season...yippee...). Well anyways I look forwards to following the guys on 'Buff Buddies' and hope to see them succeed, as well as see my self succeed. Actually I wish everyone good luck on their goals if they have them. Stay determined and know that it is often hard to achieve goals but in the end you'll be much more thankful for what you've accomplished (sounding like a nerd right here).

So I am very thankful that I have a mother a step dad who own a bucket truck (which they normally use to put up signs) which can lift someone up to the third floor to get my keys so that I can get back into my apartment! I'm also very thankful that no one thought we were breaking in because I did not want to have to explain to the cops what was going on.

So I'm possibly moving in a week. Got a 2 bedroom apartment and I'm going to be living on my own...Haven't even got all my stuff together yet and I'm as excited/nervous as heck. I'll probably be fine it's just my first time...on my own...at least I'll have the internet to keep me company :).

Okay so I'm going to look at apartments tomorrow. If this works out I'm going to be living on my own..for the first time! Both nervous and excited...

Oh and I found another reason that kids are like the zombie horde. Both tend to react crazily to loud sounds. For the kids I work with it's out of fear though, the horde...well maybe Zombies are just worried about noise pollution?

It's not allowed to be this hot yet! It's still the middle of April! It's supposed to get hotter gradually not just jump to 80+ degrees overnight! I can't take this heat yet!

Ha! I beat you and you didn't even touch me once you long arm Marilyn Manson wanna be! On top of that I beat the balled headed flying Sinead O'Connor wanna be only being touched once! Didn't even need to make Miku run (not that she can run anyways, the girl can't even move past a darn hanging lantern. This game has the worst move mechanics in the world, which again is why it's my rage quit game).

    • My rage quit game

I'm probably going to have a rage quit moment tonight. I'm going to be playing Fatal Frame, a game I have yet to finish because it's so frustrating (and because I got stuck at a part so now I have to start over)! I love it so much though...I wish I had a camera because I guarantee you I will be cursing like Michael at certain parts, like if I get up to the part with the ghost kid coming out of the clock, that kid is a bastard! He laughs at me as he dives around making him impossible to capture! If he weren't already dead I'd kill him again!

    • Again why kids are like the Zombie horde

You know I was just listening to the RT podcast and they were having that discussion about where the Zombie apocalypse might come from. They said it would come from their office because people are dirty there but I argue that it will actually come from some preschool some where because if you have ever spent long periods of time with kids you know that they pass around germs likes it's nobodies business. And yes I am currently sick so I can contest to this fact. I blame the little boy who when he gets mad at me wipes his nose on my shirt...yep, just another day in child care.
