I've relocated.

Back down to LA, and now I work at Riot Games, bein' all community person-y for League of Legends. Dream job? Yes. Free-to-play game that doesn't suck? YES. That means you should turn your PC thataway and check it out.

It's a hard job 'cause we're still such a baby company that hit... wild popularity. So yeah, there's a lot of server downtime and some bumps in the road, but that's what keeps us at work on weekends and for 12 hour days. The people I work with are complete badasses and it's an amazing place to be.

I sure miss Telltale, but Riot is shaping up wonderfully.

PAX is on my birthday this year, so if you are going and you see me on Friday, I accept hugs. Like so many hugs. PM for my number iffen yuh dun has it.

Pfft. Drive-ins won't be extinct. Some of them will go out of business if the "digital revolution" actually completely takes over by then, but those of us that are doing well enough will probably be able to eventually afford to do the (incredibly expensive) upgrade that will keep us going. With three screens, we can do it one at a time. We'll be looking at it a lot harder over the next 10 years or so. Right now, film is still the predominate way movie theatres are presenting their product. But that is definitely changing. We are content to watch and stay informed of the numbers as the conversion continues. But we're not worried. Just aware that we have some big investments that we'll be forced to make over the next 20 years.

And HEY! It's good to see you pop up every once in a while. I jump on and do a journal every once in a while, but this time of year I'm really too busy to do much else. I kind of miss it sometimes, but real life does have a tendency to take precedence, as you well know.

How's things going? Have you decided to settle down yet? Or is that just silly?
