Who else here... has heard about this legendary clash of families in their history courses? Looking back on that time it makes me wonder how could a family feud become so bloody? Where was the local law enforcement or if they were outgunned the local militia to quell the fighting? The civil war was just coming to an end people were still coming home only to find that life back home wasn't the same. They had to struggle to make ends meet in order to survive on whatever they could grow. When someone threatens your livelihood of you and your family you react the only way you know how....with violence.
