End of an Era.
This is my formal announcement. I don't know if this is actually going over to Facebook and Twitter, but, here it is. I am leaving Best Buy. I have accepted a position as an Assistant IT Manager for Benchmark Outdoor Outfitters in Cincinnati, OH and their sister store, Phillip Gall's in Lexington, KY. I have been told there is other travel associated with the business which means I may be coming out to Colorado or Utah for conventions or other work related business. When it comes to their IT Department at the moment, I am it. I will be responsible for rebuilding their entire system from what they currently have to something that actually works. My final day at Best Buy is scheduled to be January 29th, 2012. It is an end and beginning of an era of my life. I started Best Buy October 12, 2006, and have met some amazing people while working there and some friends I will have until they bury my happy ass for the everlasting dirt nap (where I'll finally catch up on sleep.) I will certainly miss Store 161 and other stores I've worked at over the years (153, 154, 494, 259, 488, and 394) but it's time for me to move on.
