Destiny? Maybe.
As I was reading the new issue of Hot Rod last night. I glanced upon an advert for their yearly Power Tour, which is a long road trip along a large part of the U.S. On the way there are Drag Racing, Auto Cross, and other activities. But mostly its just a bunch of Muscle Car nuts driving around the country swapping stories and helping broken down cars. Starting in Michigan, my jaw instantly dropped to the floor when I noticed that the final destination of this years power tour was none other than: Arlington Texas. Destiny? quite possibly. I have been trying to decide what to do this summer, and this would be a perfect little vacation right at the beginning of it. It runs from June 2nd - June 9th. My hopes are to be able to get enough money to long haul it, which would mean driving to Michigan for the start and following it back home. I would get to see parts of the country I never have (only been to 5 other states in my lifetime and never in the north central zone) And it would just be an amazing road trip experience. Must make this happen! |
