On the back of my mind Alright, so here’s the odd things which I wanted to give a brief mention earlier:
I’m still figuring out how it happened (I have a few theories) but yesterday, after my shower, my hair was AMAZING. It was soft and fluffy with tighter curls. This is weird because, as much as it suits me, my frizzy-curly hair doesn’t exactly look very good. I’ll spend the next few showers trying to recreate it, because it was fantastic.
On the topic of weird stuff my body is doing, the big toe on my left foot has been getting EXTREMELY itchy lately and scratching it only makes it worse, of course. It looks normal, but if it keeps going on much longer I’m going to go to my GP, shove my foot in front of his face and yell “FIX IT!”
Once again on a bright note, I have started initial planning for another Disney marathon, but let me start from the beginning. A few months ago I decided that I was going to start stockpiling Disney movies because they can be very difficult to get your hands on, and you never know when you might need one. Anyway, I was in a Vinnies with Stewart when I noticed that a VHS of The Jungle Book was lying around, for 50 cents. FANTASTIBLE! Looking around, I found a section with heaps of them, each 50 cents. Since then I have been on the prowl, and have collected about 50 VHS tapes, not all Disney. Not wanting this collection to go to waste, I held a Disney marathon a few weeks ago (just after HSC trials finished) where I could hang out with friends and enjoy nostalgia. It was super fun, but we only got through about six or seven, and I wanted more.
It’s not like I could plan for anytime soon after the first one, what with HSC coming up and all, so I’ve put a draft date for mid November to do it again. I’m really excited, it’s really heaps of fun to hang out with a bunch of friends, watch some classic animations and annihilate some junk food.
With all the stuff that I’m looking forward to, it’s been really hard to concentrate on studying, especially since I don’t really care about getting a really good mark. The only reason that I’m trying at all is that my mom will be really upset if I do badly (I’ve already got a few speeches planned for her reaction to my mediocre mark) and I really don’t want her to be sad. Nikkita (pug-chan.tumblr.com) is incredibly lucky. She’s already been accepted into the creative course which she wants to do next year, so she doesn’t have to do ANY work. That’s so awesome. I want to go into engineering next year, because I find it interesting, but it requires a really good mark (I’ve made some back routes) to get into, and there’s no chance of early acceptance. For me, it’s going to come down to an interview to see if I’m an appropriate student for it, and I hope that they don’t judge too heavily by my marks because, otherwise, I’m good with interviews. Let’s see how it all turns out.
Bye guys, thanks for reading.
