My thoughts on Duke Nukem ForeverWasn't great.... Wasn't bad...
Allot of people have been hating on Duke. Don't know why really. Sure it wasn't the masterpiece we all thought it was going to be. But they all can't be winners!
Duke Nukem had it's moments where I felt scared, alone, and violated from some awkward Stage Design. But all in all it's all that I expected it to be.
Run
Gun
Kill
Swear
Slap boobs hanging from a wall...
The game achieved what I wanted it to when I bought it. It gave me a good time and some nice nostalgia...
Some of the jokes were kinda "What? Really? ._." But in certain moments the game shined glorious glory for me. I found navigating and fighting your way through a Duke Burger as a shrunken lil Duke quite amusing and charming in it's own way.
The Graphics are not that great... But I'm not one to really care for that. Growing up in the SNES and N64 era I found myself quite blown away with how almost every game looks now...
All in all I feel most people wouldn't just want to buy the game. It's definitely a rental to waste away your dull lonely weekends...
I say it deserves a 7.5/10
That's like C+...
I'm hoping GearBox takes the risk tries to make another Duke game in the near future.
I feel that they can really get it right if they made a Duke game from scratch....
