Green Lantern so, of coarse I went to see what's one of the summer's most anticipated movies, Green Lantern. And why wouldn't I go see it in 3D? I was suprised that the 3D was very subtle to where you didn't really notice it after a while. They seemed to use it to create more of a depth than the typical jumping out at you effects. Was a nice touch. There won't be any Oscar winners from the cast but overall it was very entertaining. Reynolds, not my first choice for the role of Hal Jordan, but did a pretty good job. Action was top notch, although kinda campy at times. What else would you expect? Who wouldn't imagine big ass machine guns to fight evil with? My fear is that people go into this movie expecting some deep, theological film, sticking 100% to the original comic books. That's not going to happen. It's a fun action comic book movie, that's what it was intended for. And that's what it delivers. If you're anything like me, you'll start to envision exactly what you'd do with a power ring. Glowing green Ferrari 458 Italiana anyone?
