The story I've got so far is that Some crazy labratory has developed a strain of the Zombie virus that adds the strength without losing the mind and it slows the decomposition rate to the point where if the subject can be sustained indefinetly as long as he or she has the proper plasma injection every week. Squid pro ro, Vampires. Guess what, problems. Duh. "V's" (the fifth successful strain test) need more blood and more times, so they attack survivors, leading to matt becoming one of them.
