Glitches
My first obstacle it seems to be to get Second Life to work. It keeps loading and crashing. Kind of sucks, but I have gotten great critisim on here from my last post(s) on the forums. I will have to make sure not to be a noob and offend the masses with my lack of concern with basic grammar such as paragraphs. Organization was never one of my strong abilities.

As a loyal member in our Movie group, the staff wanted to remind you that if you haven't already put us on your watch list you might want to.

maybe it has something to do with being born in the 8th year of a decade in that week of August. Happy belated birthday anyway. And many happy returns!

Hope this year was better than last year. What was the surgery anyway?

I chalk Dead Pool up to the "costume complete phenomenon", where the final look is some how assimilated throughout the film and completed at some point before the ending. His mouth-less face and the burnt out diamonds over his eyes make it appear like his comic's counterpart. I hate that, in some cases the look would not translate well, but I don't think what they went with was better. Did you ever see the original Street Fighter? Blanka was an ok example of CCP, being part of a mutated experiment. But Dhalsim wasn't even a fighter and only looks like the video game character due to an explosion and he's left with these odd shackles on his neck and wrists. DP should definitely get his own movie now. I hope they do and he breaks the 4th wall at least once just like DP thinks he's starring in his own comic, Reynolds should talk about how he thinks he's in his own movie.

I wasn't happy with teenage Emma Frost, I like her bitchy older self, but I did like she was with Scott at the end, that was a cute nod to the books. It was a good Marvel movie, just not a over the top sensation.

Well I tired, but you have to concede that the director's cut is better and is a different class of movie altogether. And give them some credit, I thought the idea of an Ironman sucked (this was back in the day Tom Cruise as Tony Stark mind you) but I think Marvel's got a good leg up, they run a studio like a comic publisher. The problem is they run their studio like a comic publisher. Ironman and Hulk were great movies last year and I love how they are putting together this amazing story across several movies. Then you get stand alone movies like War Zone and its kind of hurts the cause. I'm amazed at an Ant Man movie, but well wait and see.

As far as DC, I think they should step it up. Dark Knight was fantastic, but its still one movie in one franchise. DC can't ask Batman to do the heavy lifting forever. I think Superman should get a reboot, cause frankly I was upset they didnt when Batman's did so well. They had the look, the story just wasn't there. I think a character like Superman needs little origin, but if need be do it a la Spider-man 2 and 3 and retell it in the opening credits. And shock us another way other than a superbaby daddy please. I'd set up a 3 movie arc and finally retell the Death and Life story. At least it wasn't a Nick Cage or Will Smith version.

I was disappointed that Whedon dragged his feet on Wonder Woman and got kicked off the project, after all that man knows how to write strong women. I was certain we'd see Nathan Fillion as Steve Rodgers. And Ryan Reynolds as the Flash would be a dream come true. He already plays all the snarky comic characters these days. Then a Green Lantern or Green Arrow movie could closely follow. If they followed suit with Marvel they could have a Justice League movie out at the same time as the new Avengers popped out. As of now they don't have a single way to compete with the number of characters Marvel is shooting into theaters.

Now are you talking the Directors cut or the theatrical release, cause to me the original falls back to top ten while the new one falls into the top 5.

I totally agree about Garner. I think the playground fight scene was the worst part of that movie. It was meant as a clever and cute way of showcases their skills, but it doesn't fit in the grim dark story around it.

As for Affleck and Colin, I agree that he did a fair job. I mean at least he did pull a Christian Bale performance in Dark Knight. (I still attribute most of that to bad dialogue in the script) But Bullseye was a sycophantic freak in this movie. His goofiness was scary, not funny. The old lady/peanut scene was great, he gets right in her face and feels her die. And sniffing the rose and finding it disgusting was a brilliant way to show that even the most simple and pleasant things bother him.

I think the Luke Cage movie might be released under the Marvel Knights Logo like the new Punisher. I think it won't matter if people know he's in the books or not. Its a way to tell gritty stories and keep exposure and revenue up.

And the Capt movies? They got good directors and go head start on the story with Ironman and Hulk movies. I'm more nervous for the Thor movie and how they pull it off.
