There is a reason we have BBQ's and a 3 day weekend. Don't forget that among all the celebrating and relaxing. Also, keep in mind that this is Memorial Day, not Veterans Day. I think it is great and everything that people like to say "I support the troops" and "Thank you for your service" (albeit I am a cynical bastard, and generally see pity and derision in their eyes when they say these sorts of things) but this weekend is about those who did not come home - not those of us who simply wear the uniform. Our day is in November - and that is enough.

Enjoy your weekends, but don't forget to raise a glass to those who gave their lives for us to have the freedom to do so.
