eh, bored much
So I guess I'll do a quick little review of a rather enjoyable anime/manga I have recently discovered called REC. Its a nice little romance, borders on ditzy occasionally, but it has a lot of depth. A regular old salaryman gets stood up on a date, and is about to throw away his tickets to a foreign film when a young woman that happens to be a voice actress stops him. She says it would be a waste and offers to go with him instead. After the movie, they go out for dinner and drinks, then return home. Only mere hours later, her house burns down and he offers to let her stay at his place and our nice little romance begins. They flit between seeming to be a cute couple to vehemently denying any form of relationship beyond business.
The manga alone is just an example of a nice plot, well laid out and very entertaining to read, while the anime has a flair of uniqueness with only 12 episodes, each 12 minutes long. Each episode is filled with small little cutesy scene breaks, and the characters are endearing. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good romance read.
