One Thing After Another
So, yesterday I went to the eye doc to find out why I've been seeing things a little funny...sadly the day or so after my wisdom teeth got yanked was the only time I could do it. So I bee-bopped down there and did the whole shibang, finding out that yes my vision had changed slightly and I was due for new glasses. Yay. But the doc wanted ot make absolutely sure the crap behind my eyes were okay. In short, he's what he found that sent my day to hell:
Apparently the optic nerves of my eyes are swollen, as well as the disks and veins surrounding it. Apparently this is also a medical emergency and I didn't know it. So I was whisked off to the ER and the horror began. They took blood, did a CT scan, and MRI, and worst of all...a Lumbar Spinal Tap. Good God that hurt like the DICKENS! Especially since they had to do it 3 TIMES!!! I was there from a little after 11:30am to 12:30am and in constant agony the whole time. Finally they diagnosed me with Pseudo-Tumors of the Optic Cerebri. Its treatable with medication, so that's good.
But now I've still got pain from my wisdom teeth being outed, my back feels like it got hit by a Mach 10 truck, my head is throbbin' like a sono'a'biatch, and I'm nauseous...back to bed for me...
