Dear Smoking Co-Workers,
Instead of having anti-smoking ads that stress the health risks, the addiction, or the evils of tobacco companies, I think it's time we focused more on creating a taboo around smoking, at least in public places. Because my concern is not for my health when you come in from your smoke break, and -forgive me- but I don't much care for your health either. My concern is that you smell like a chimney.
I think a societal taboo would help ween everyone off smoking gradually. You could still make the argument that it's your right to smoke, and we can't take that away from you. And you'd be absolutely right. Similarly, you have the right to not bathe.
I just wish I didn't feel outnumbered.
