After 2 days, Bioshock 2 is down. In my view, the ending was better, but the climax was worse. Overall not a whole lot different from the first game, although i enjoyed the story more. In terms of both story and philosophy everything tied together a lot better. Did i enjoy it more than my first playthrough of the original? Yes, but that's not really a fair question, because I cannot stand vita-chambers, and my first playthrough i didn't have the option to turn them off. As far as games go, bioshock is not the most challenging, so i really only enjoyed it on hard with vita-chambers off. Since i did this from my first playthrough on 2, i naturally had a lot more fun. However, I'll have to go through a few more times to see if it grows on me, since that's how i grew to love bioshock uno. So it was great, but bioshock 1 still currently stands as the better game in my book, mostly because 2 never really matches the "holy shit" level of mind-blowing in Ryan's office in the original. Still, combat wise, improvement, difficulty-wise, improvement, even if i still felt overpowered by the end, story-wise, neutral, both games did an excellent job, and each have their highs and lows. In the end though, they are both equal in my eyes, though bioshock 2 did teach me that not killing people and children is the best way to be a good father figure.
