      BIGBITE

      Hey everyone!

We're pleased to announce that we have a couple positions currently open for writers!

We are currently trying to find 2 Staff Writers to write for our Magazine!

You would have at least one article in each issue, and might even have opportunities to directly interview RT personalities and/or cover events like RTX for us!

Qualified applicants would have a mastery over writing in the English language, be reliable, and have a great passion for the RT community!

As a general reminder, BIGBITE is currently, and has always been run 100% from volunteers, all the way up to and including the CEO. We do this as a hobby, because we love our community, and we love what we do! We're an awesome group of friends, and we're looking for some like-minded friends to join us!

So, if you would like to write for the RT Community Fan Magazine, BIGBITE Magazine, shoot us an email at [email protected], and tell us about yourself, and include your writing portfolio!

Good luck, and we can't wait to hear from you!

      Sincerely,

      Joe Dalton

      BIGBITE

UPDATE: THESE POSITIONS ARE FILLED! THANK YOU!

      Hey everyone!

I'm happy to announce that we have a few positions currently open for artists!

We are currently looking to find 2 Layout Editors/Graphic Designers to help us with our magazine and other projects!

Qualified applicants will have experience with (and access to) the Adobe CC suite, especially with Adobe InDesign. They will also have a great passion for art and the RT community!

Additionally, we are looking for a new Art Director! This position oversees all art that we produce, and the staff that produces it. It's a management position that reports directly to the CEO.

Qualified applicants will possess a broad variety of skills in the visual arts, and be familiar with and have access to Adobe CC software. Additionally, we're looking for someone who has the ambition to lead a team, and the leadership skills to do it! This position does take some time, so a ideal candidate would need to have the free time to take on this sort of commitment!

As a general reminder, BIGBITE is currently, and has always been run 100% from volunteers, all the way up to and including the CEO. We do this as a hobby, because we love our community, and we love what we do! We're an awesome group of friends, and we're looking for some like-minded friends to join us!

If you feel like either of these positions has your name all over it, please send us an email at [email protected], and give us a little more info about yourself and what you do, along with your portfolio!

Good luck, and I can't wait to work with you!

      Sincerely,

      Joe Dalton

    • Tim Conkling's Antihero, Review-In-Progress

Whether above the law or below it, everyone was a scoundrel of some sort.

Tim Conkling's Antihero is a great indie title that mixes some Monopoly with a little bit of Thief, a little bit of Assassin’s Creed, a little bit of every grid-based, turn-based strategy game you’ve ever played, and turns it all into a unique and rewarding experience. The gameplay is easy to pick up and challenging to master, with only a couple hiccups along the way, while the flat, muted artwork and somber musicality work together to bring an immersive, downtrodden world to life in a way that feels much deeper than the game actually is.

Note that that’s not down-talking the gameplay, they just did an incredible job with the art and sound.

Like all board games, the point is to win by fulfilling certain objectives. Like Monopoly, you have the ability to take over certain areas or properties around the map and use them to your advantage -- such advantages as money, with which you can purchase units, lanterns, with which you can buy upgrades, and blackmail points, with which you can purchase victory.

      More or less.

Like Assassin’s Creed, another of those objectives is assassinating high profile targets such as nobles, city officials, or corrupt clergymen. Unlike either of those two games, you can also win through bribery, which in this case means spending in-game money to win the game.

Which brings us to really the only place where the gameplay stumbles. Points gained from bribery or assassination are permanent, whereas points from blackmail can be taken away if your units are removed from those spaces. This is only a minor hiccup but it makes fighting for map control seem less relevant in games where the other two objectives are in-play.

With that said, we’ll bring you our full take on the game, in which we’ll talk about multiplayer (both online and hot-seat) and give some more in-depth thoughts on the single-player campaign, in our upcoming August issue of BIGBITE Magazine.

Until then, you can check out the game for yourself, currently 10% off on Steam (regular price $14.99), peep the game’s launch trailer below, and stay frosty with us on Twitter to find out when we’ll be playing Antihero live over on Twitch.
