Hachi MachiSo yesterday, Friday, my mom was in a bank robbery.Thanks for Rea- Oh fine I'll tell you more. So she was supposed to deliver a deposit from the store she works on. She's done this countless times over the years and is one of two people trusted enough at the store to be allowed to do this. (You may have an idea on how untrustworthy people working stores can be with money). Around 2 pm she arrived at the bank and just prior to her arrival a man stuck up the bank. She noticed the whole....gunman thing going on in the bank and that everyone was lying on the ground. Seeing this as she did....she did what anyone would. She got the fuck out of there and at great speed and called the cops. The gunman had just arrived himself and turns out his partner was nearby in the parking lot playing wheelman. Cops showed up late as usual and the robbers got away. However, this also means no one was seriously hurt. So win win for everyone...except for the local police who continue to prove their ineptitude in new and startling ways! (Recently a cop was shot in the foot and he said he fought a black man who broke into his house. He has no further descriptions of the man and apparently no other injuries. I have 5 dollars on him making the whole story up because he shot himself in the foot. I know I will be proved correct.) Mom then spent the next 3 hours with the FBI and local PD telling them what she saw and finally depositing the money she was supposed to deposit. Who knew they'd have so many questions for a person who pulled up during a bank heist? Also, how the flying fuck could the PD not show up? This took place in Atwood less than 6 minutes drive from the high school where there's always a cop car around the end of the day. It was 2 pm! More than that in Atwood there's two stores, one gas station, and one bank. The stores have been robbed a dozen times in the last two years, the gas station owner fucking quit and sold the place last year because she was tired of being stuck up, and the bank itself has been robbed twice in the last two years. Easy pickings. Rarely are these people caught. Hell there was one guy who robbed a Dollar General store 6 times in one year. Same guy. He did it over like two months before the cops finally caught him. Why isn't there at least one cop somewhere close by in Atwood? Like I said, they keep showing their ineptitude in new ways....well...old ways actually but it sounds better the other way around and I'm sucker for that. So that was pretty much our yesterday.
