New stuff (I GOT ENGAGED!!!)
So i havent been around in a while...ok more than a while....im sure jeskid is jesman by now (keep up the good work Jes).
Well, where have i been some of you might be thinking...ok no one is probably thinking that or even cares but im bored so ill tell you all anyway.
Well lets see, im still filming that damn movie of mine, Skidmarks (well now its Skidmarkz). Though alot has changed. I have a cast and crew now (yay) but still no budget whatsoever. My crew and I decided to take what we've already done and use it as inspiration to start a new, to begin again with a new script to fit with all the new members of the Skidmarkz crew (film company co-owned by me and a couple freinds...see, i told you alot has changed).
Im still in radio. Now i have my certificate that says im qualified (i don't know who would give *me* such a thing, lol, qualified) and that i can do whatever shows i want. I have now done a few different series of shows; The Awkward Stage, Sweat Generator, The Voices In Your Head, ADD Theatre and, one of my favourites, Late Night Syning.
I even got an invite to the annual Syn FM awards night at some fancy restaurant. I brought by co-host and comedy partner along too. I had previously ripped a locker door off its hindges and had it sitting in my room for a long time so I decided to bring it along too. There were some people at this party that had inspired me and i wanted there autograph but where was a suitable to collect such autographs? ah ha, the door.
so i now have in my room a door with the autographs of Josh & Josh (the guys who inspired me in radio), J (the girl who trained me in radio), Anon (a rapper that beat one of D12 in a rap battle who just happened to be at the party) and last but ffs not least, John So the lord mayor of Melbourne himself.
I couldnt believe he was at the same party as me, but what was even more unbelievable was the fact he had a whole table of groupies.
Umm, lets see, what else....well im now known for my funny t-shirts since i have several draws full of them. My friends always ask me to open up my jacket wide so they can read my t-shirt. my favourite is the one that says "I Can Explain..." because there is a suspect white stain on it (dont ask, i might tell anyway, but just dont ask).
Of course, the most important thing of all thats happened, I met the girl of my dreams. I was doing a Late Night Syning show (told you those are my favourites) and whenever i do these shows i get alot of sms's over the sms line (about 25-30 times more than the average).
Not once have i done one of these shows without someone smsing in something along the lines of "you have a nice voice, heres my name and number" i kid you not, it happens everytime. (though usually 'nice' is replaced with other words eg: hot, sexy)....ok i need to stop now before i look like i have a massive ego....anyway i usually send a txt over the next couple of days and see what happens (its fun, sometimes they are nut jobs) and so this one time i txt and i get nothing back (it happens sometimes) so i forgot about it.
But then the next day i get a call and its her (Brooke, incase you were wondering), we talk for hours and hours, then she starts calling me everyday but not like obsessive since we'd usually just be wasting time on msn and then when one of us cant be bothered typing we'd call the other. so after a week, we decided to meet each other. She was new in town as i had discovered and i was to show her around the glorious melbourne city (most livable city 2000 and 2005, i think its second place this year) so we meet and we flirt all day and then we finally make it official the next day.
I've been dating her for some time now, infact longer than anyone previous to her and not long ago WE GOT ENGAGED =) i got her a ring with her birthstone on it and she was thrilled.
Hmm, this entry is getting long now so i guess ill rap it up....umm, life is great now, i have success in the radio industry, i have more friends who are helping me with my movie and most important i have a wonderful girlfriend, well fiancee now =)
