My happy mustache faceThis week's Cleveland Show is way better than this weeks Family Guy. Great follow up after the last episode (which was awesome.)It's crazy since Mike Henry was such a big writer for Family Guy but his show doesn't rely on random references and pop culture satire. It's more like the Simpsons in it's reliance on family based comedy. The side characters are no where near as good as in Family Guy. The exception being the big Swedish bear. The family is way more entertaining there. Family Guy is still entertaining. All that being said, Seth MacFarlane is a super nice guy. Glad to see him enjoy so much success after losing his show in 2000. V is an ok new show. The effects were impressive for TV and the acting was good for the most part. Hasn't really had that hook. It took 4 episodes of Lost before i got into it though. Although that show had the best pilot ever, it was the first John Locke episode "walkabout" that really got me. Holy shit Lost it's awesome. Can't wait for the Fariday and Desmond Variety Hour. |
