Apart from different terms the only difference is...Well basically take out middle school (and change the grade numbers in high school accordingly) and that's our compulsary education. After that you go to a college or 6th form to do "Further education" (Another 2 years) then you go to college or uni to do exactally what you would do in college or uni (I found out that "Higher education" (Not Further....After that) is the same here as it is there).
Seems the same except for here people tend to go staight into college...But there's nothing saying you can't wait 'til 18 if you want to.
Also..."High" school here is 5 years...Years 7-11. That's confusing.
I assume what is 1st grade to you is what we call "Reception" meaning we're actually at school same amount of time (5-16yrs old) and you must have an extra year at primary school and took one off of secondary (high)...Right?
Finish secondary (high) school and do your A-Levels in college or 6th form (what would be years "12" and "13" if they continued it from secondary school or "6th" and "7th" grade I think it is to you)..."Higher education", before going into "Further Education" (Uni, for degree's and equivilent)? Ages 16-18 (Well...16+ really...you don't have to leave at 18).
